Updating CSS

Last updated on Monday, May 9th, 2011

Over time, new features and styling are being added to eShop. You can check the differences between your custom eshop.css file (wp-content/uploads/eshop_files/eshop.css) and the default eshop.css shipped with the plugin (wp-content/plugins/eshop/files.eshop.css) via Appearance → eShop.

Scroll to the bottom of this page and click Compare Current Style with latest installed version of eShop.

Updating to the Current CSS

This section assumes that you haven’t made any changes to the default eshop.css file (wp-content/plugins/eshop/files.eshop.css).

Navigate to Plugins → Editor and select eShop for WordPress, then locate the eshop/files/eshop.css file.

URL: wp-admin/plugin-editor.php?file=eshop/files/eshop.css&plugin=eshop/eshop.php

You can now access the current style included with the latest version of the plugin.

  1. Copy the entire contents of this file.
  2. Navigate to Appearance → eShop and paste the content into the form.
  3. Select “Update File”.

You now have a copy of the latest default style for eShop which you can customise to suit your site.

eShop upgrades do not over-write this file.
