Forum Fixes with Images

This extension was written to enable CSS images to be added to menu options. The majority of this extension will hopefully not be needed once FluxBB1.3 is released.

The extension also includes a style sheet and some images.

Gravatar

This extension enables limited gravatar support to the forum. Currently the mystery man logo cannot be used.

eSpam

Written purely to see if I could! I adapted code written by El Bekko, from the FluxBB community. The extension allows admin to limit the number of links and characters that new posters and guests can post. It also adds in feature a currently missing from FluxBB – checking guests email addresses against the bans list. Finally it creates the ability to hide posts if they are reported ‘x’ times.

SPTN stands for “Simple PHP Text only Newsletter”

This is currently in beta testing. Download and use at your own risk. Quick installation instructions are provided in the readme.txt.

Note: the admin side is not password protected. Please use .htaccess to accomplish this.

This script was based on the simple php newsletter already available from this site, but has been rewritten to encompass feature suggestions from various people.

Requirements

Installation

Currently the package has to be installed off the root of your web space, in a directory called mailer. After you have uploaded all the files, point your web browser at

http://yourdomain.com/mailer/install/

The rest of the procedure should be straight forward by following the directions given.

I have not tested this version, but it was sent to me by Roland Quintin, there are numerous changes, not the least is the inclusion of a French language pack.

Warning: it has been found that this version has a serious error, in that globals.php cannot be found. We will try our best to hunt down the offending scripts and update them as soon as we can.

One of the perennial problems of publishing detail of events on a web site is remembering to remove out-dated events on a regular basis. Nothing makes a site look more uncared for than a year old event!

SEM solves this problem by only listing current, or future dated, events so that your site visitors always see an up-to-date page. All a webmaster has to do is pop in every now and then and clear out old material.

SEM also publishes on-demand RSS and Atom news feeds of your event listings to maximise event promotion.

Use your robots.txt file to exclude Sphider from indexing specific pages or directories.

Tested on Sphider Version 1.2.x

NOTE: The class assumes that the index page within each site section will be ‘index’+file extension
eg. http://www.mysite.com/foo/index.php

WARNING: The class will not pick up links with an _ (underscore) in a top-level filename as MySQL rejects queries that include underscore as part of a regular expression.
